Banjaluka International Animated Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina is to host Iranian animation ‘Mr. Deer’.
Directed by Mojtaba Mousavi, the animation will represent Iran at the latest edition of the event.
Produced by Elaheh Farnia, ‘Mr. Deer’ took two years of production with professional tech crew in collaboration.
The 9-minute animation is set in an unknown time, in a ruined subway station which is similar to those in modern European societies. People in this society have animal faces and have forgotten humane values.
Launched in 1971, Banjaluka International Animated Film Festival was the first of its kind in Yugoslavia, and while it has changed over the years it has remained focused in its love for all things animated.
The 2019 edition of the festival is slated for October 24-28, 2019.
